Two common water treatment systems for homes are whole house water filters and water softeners.
It’s easy to confuse these systems as being the same, when in fact they both offer very different results, and can’t be used interchangeably.
Let’s look at the main difference between water softener vs water filter.
Both water softening and filtering produce higher-quality water for your home, but they each have different purposes.
Whole house charcoal water filter systems are great at getting rid of taste and odor in water. When you’re ready to take it to the next level, reverse osmosis takes you there. The problem is that it’s so good at removing particles that it takes out some of the good stuff, too. The AO Smith RO Filter System has something a little special in mind—a remineralization process.
AO Smith lays claim as the first water filter system to combine three processes—reverse osmosis (RO), advanced selective filtering (Claryum), and remineralization.
The system starts with a carbon filter to remove chlorine taste and odor, mainly. Then it moves onto the reverse osmosis stage.
Corrigan carries a variety of commercial water filtration systems, water softeners, advanced reverse osmosis systems, and custom filters designed to solve even the toughest water problems.
